COVID-19 Information

The circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic are unprecedented and we are doing our best to adapt as the situation continues to evolve. The health, safety and well-being of our guests and team members is our top priority.

At this time, the resort remains closed. The Valley Golf Course is now open and the Downhill Bike Park will be opening soon. We are hopeful that we will be able to open other summer operations at some point this season, with the necessary safety measures in place for both guests and Horseshoe team members. We are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to follow the recommendations provided by the Ontario government and public health officials. Updates will be provided as we have them.

COVID-19 Updates

LAKE HORSESHOE TEMPORARILY CLOSED

Dear Valued Horseshoe Resort Guests, Team Members and Community,

We would like to kindly remind everyone that Lake Horseshoe is currently closed until further

notice. We understand that the recent warm weather makes the lake that much more inviting, but we ask that you please refrain from going in the water for the time being. Individuals found trespassing will be escorted off the resort property.

When Lake Horseshoe does open, it will be staffed with lifeguards and additional team members to make sure that all safety measures are being followed.

While the Valley Golf Course and Tiki Hut are now open daily, all other resort operations remain closed.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Sincerely,

HORSESHOE RESORT OPERATIONS UPDATE

Dear Valued Horseshoe Resort Guests and Team Members,

The Government of Ontario announced today that golf courses in the province will be permitted to open as of Saturday May 16th, 2020.

Our dedicated golf team has been working hard to prepare for the season and we are happy to say that we will be ready to welcome golfers to the course starting Friday May 22nd, 2020.

The 2020 golf season will look a little different than what we are used to, but we are confident that with the new policies and protocols in place, we will be able to deliver a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Our team members will be equipped with the appropriate personal protective equipment and will be following best practices in terms of physical distancing with golfers and fellow team members, sanitizing golf carts, maintaining the course and all other necessary tasks. As always, the health and safety of our guests and team members is of the utmost importance.

Please know that all necessary safety measures will take place in order to comply with provincial health guidelines. We all have a shared responsibility in following these measures. We kindly ask for your patience, understanding and cooperation as we all adjust to the new guidelines.

Tee times can be booked online and over the phone starting Wednesday May 20th, 2020. Additional information regarding course operation will be provided over the coming days. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Nate Clingersmith, Director of Golf.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the resort soon.

Sincerely,

Operations Update

The May long weekend usually marks the start of our summer operations, however this year it is uncertain if we will be able to open on schedule. We are hopeful that we will be able to open our bike trails, golf course and other outdoor recreation activities at some point this season, with safety measures in place for both guests and Horseshoe team members.

At this time, we need to wait and see how the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve and what the Ontario government recommends going forward. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as we have them. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

HORSESHOE RESORT CLOSURE

Dear Valued Horseshoe Resort Guests and Team Members,

After careful consideration and recommendations provided by the Ontario government and provincial health officials in regards to the spread of COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to suspend all operations, effective end of business day Sunday March 15th, 2020.

We understand that this news will be upsetting for some of our guests and we truly apologize for that. Please know that this decision was not made lightly. The best interests of our team members, guests and community is our top priority and we believe that this is the right thing to do during this challenging time.

We ask for your patience and understanding over the coming days, as we anticipate a high volume of calls and emails. Refunds or credits will be issued to those who have booked accommodation or purchased ski lessons and advanced lift tickets. Our Reservations and Guest Services teams will be reaching out to individuals directly. Every effort will be made to issue refunds and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this will cause to both our guests and team members. We, along with the rest of the world, have been taking things one day at a time. The spread of COVID-19 is certainly unprecedented and we are doing our best to adapt as the situation evolves.

We would like to thank all of our guests and team members for an incredible 2019-2020 winter season and look forward to welcoming you back to the resort as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Reid

STEPS WE ARE TAKING TO ADDRESS COVID-19

Dear Valued Horseshoe Resort Guests and Team Members,

The health, safety and well-being of our guests and team members is of the utmost importance to us. We are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates and are committed to taking all of the necessary precautions recommended by the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Federal and Provincial Health Departments. Our focus is to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our guests and team members.

Horseshoe Resort is open and operating under regular business hours. At this time, ski and snowboard lessons and our March Break development camp will proceed as planned. We have, however, made the decision to cancel some of the March Break activities that were scheduled to take place throughout the week. Please consult the revised March Break Activity Guide on our website for the current schedule.

In order to maintain a safe environment, we are taking the following measures:
• We are exercising extra care when cleaning guest rooms after each stay and are paying close attention to high touch point areas such as key cards, elevator doors and buttons, door handles, locks and latches, light switches, desk surfaces, telephones, television remote controls and bathroom fixture handles.
• We have increased the frequency of sanitizing common areas such as washrooms, the front desk, food and beverage outlets, guest services desk, rentals area and equipment and fitness centre equipment.
• We have increased the quantity of sanitizers available to guests and team members throughout the resort property.

As always, we are asking team members to stay home if they are not feeling well and are encouraging everyone to keep their hands clean and wash their hands properly. We ask that hand sanitizer is used whenever possible and that work stations are regularly wiped down and sanitized.

If you have an upcoming reservation or day trip planned, we look forward to seeing you and want to reassure you that we are taking every necessary precaution to promote a safe and healthy environment at the resort. We will continue to monitor the situation daily, with the best interests of our guests and team members in mind.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Reid
