Choose Horseshoe Resort for your next vacation in Ontario and take advantage of our exciting bike adventures. Choose from our onsite downhill mountain biking trails, cross country trails or explore the incredible cycling in our area.

Downhill Mountain Biking

The Horseshoe Bike Park has a fun and welcoming atmosphere and is great for all levels of riders. All trails are accessed off of our high speed 6 person chairlift. Beginner riders can go at a slower speed and can become comfortable with the diverse mix of trails and terrain, including berms and bridges. More seasoned riders will enjoy the fact that our trails are open come rain or shine, with the perfect mix of sand and dirt trails.

We have twelve trails (plus 2 new trails coming in 2021!), consisting of beginner to expert freeride and technical trails. We like the less is more approach–we may have less vertical than other bike parks, but the benefit of that means you can get more laps in!

Equipment Requirements

  • Full suspension bikes are recommended. Hardtail mountain bikes are allowed.
  • All bikes MUST have working brakes (no coaster brakes).
  • BMX bikes are not permitted.
  • Helmets are mandatory. Full face helmets are recommended.
  • Armour (ie. elbow pads, knee pads, chest protectors) are recommended.

Check out this very informative review of the downhill bike park (June 2020). Thanks to Good Trails for coming out!

Cross Country Bike Trails

We are adding more on-site cross country trails in 2021 to add to the Ontario/Canada Cup single track. Our cross country trails will consist of a variety of double and single track so you can work on your technical skills or go for a casual ride through the forest.
