Trail Showdown presented by The Bike Zone
The Horseshoe Trail Showdown Race Series is back every other weekend on Wednesday Nights in 2024!
Compete for the fastest time on some of your favourite Horseshoe trails! Whether it’s your first time racing or you’re a seasoned pro, the Trail Showdown offers a fun environment to test your skills and connect with other riders. Try out a race or compete in the entire series to score points and capture the top spot in your category. Afterwards, relax on the Crazy Horse Patio to celebrate a great night of riding and maybe even take home some prizes!

Spots fill up quickly! If you plan to race all summer we strongly recommend signing up for all races in the series early to guarantee your spot! Each race date must be added to your cart separately. No day onsite registration or entry transfers. Each racer will receive one race plate for the entire series. If the race plate is lost or damaged there is a $5.88 replacement fee.
Note: All participants must also purchase a valid lift ticket or season pass in order to race.

In the case of major storms approaching involving thunder or lightning, racing will be cancelled or shortened to one race run.

Trail Showdown FAQ
The series will be based on the top four finishes of each racer. This allows for riders to miss one of the five races without consequences to their series.
Yes, you will require a lift ticket or lift pass in order to race. Tickets and passes may be purchased online.
You must register online by 11:59pm the night BEFORE the race day in order to participate.
Haven’t competed in a race before or simply new to the game? The Amateur category is the one for you!
Have some experience or raced hundreds of times? The Open category is the place to be!
Age categories are based on the age of the participants as of December 31st, 2023. Please refer to the following list for assistance.
- 2014 and on: Under 10
- 2012 - 2013: Under 12
- 2010 - 2011: Under 14
- 2008 - 2009: Under 16
- 2006 - 2007: Under 18
- 2005 and before: Open
Yes, a parent may accompany behind a child in the Under 10 category on the race. However, they must also have a valid lift ticket.
No. Purchase of a license is not required to compete in our races.
You will be given a timer upon arrival. Please attach it to your handle bars. All timers must be returned to us by the end of each race. Failure to return your chip will result in a fee.
Your race plate goes on the front of your bike. Please try and keep track of this plate throughout the series as there is a $2 fee should you need a replacement.
A full face helmet is highly recommended.
