Santa’s Holiday shop – Presented by Curio
Saturday & Sunday 11AM–3PM | no registration required
Step into the magic of Christmas at Santa’s Holiday Workshop at Horseshoe Valley Resort! This free interactive experience invites kids to craft, “bake” holiday treats with Santa, enjoy festive activities and make special holiday memories. Families can capture candid moments throughout the workshop or visit the photo zone for a festive picture with Santa. Proudly hosted by the Curio Micro School Enrichment Students. Cash donations are gratefully accepted in support of Gift-a-Family, helping local families this holiday season.
Holiday Movie Night
Friday Evening | 7PM | $7/adult
Join us to watch The Polar Express to kick off the weekend festivities! All proceeds will go to Horseshoe Heights Public School.
Includes popcorn and a small drink. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by a parent at all times.
Holiday Hustle Fun Run
SATURDAY 10AM | $25 Donation for Registration
This festive fun run is all about getting active, having fun and giving back! Open to all ages and abilities, it’s not a timed race — run, walk or stroll the approximately 3 KM route at your own pace.
Holiday-themed attire is encouraged! A $25 donation is required to participate, with all proceeds supporting Gift-a-Family and local children and families in need.
Ugly Sweater Après Party
Ages 19+ | Saturday 8-11PM
Celebrate Saturday night with holiday cocktails, music, and festive après energy at our adults-only Ugly Sweater Party. Local musician Shawn Steinhart will be playing live inside Crazy Horse.

Holiday Paint N’ Sip

Get into the holiday spirit with resident creative Sarah Tyler as she guides you through a festive winter-themed painting, one step at a time, with plenty of room to add your own style along the way!
No painting experience is needed, and all supplies are provided to create your personal masterpiece. Your ticket also includes a beverage to enjoy while you paint. Settle in, sip and enjoy a little hands-on fun this holiday season.
Bean to Bar Chocolate Workshop

Experience chocolate from bean to bar—and learn how to taste it like a chocolatier.
Join us for an immersive 60-minute workshop during your visit to the Horseshoe Valley Resort Holiday Weekend. Led by Dawn Nita, owner and Chief Chocolatier of DWN Craft Chocolatier in downtown Orillia. Discover how cacao transforms from raw ingredient to finished chocolate, explore the different varieties of chocolate, and learn how to use your senses to truly taste the difference.Sample a variety of chocolate and learn how it differs in flavour, texture, and character. Discover how ingredients and techniques can transform the flavour of chocolate, and gain a new appreciation for the creativity behind bean-to-bar chocolate.
Watercolour Holiday Card Making

Get into the holiday spirit and make your own handmade Holiday cards!
This relaxed, beginner-friendly class is all about simple watercolour designs that anyone can create. We’ll have different painting stations featuring an easy winter or Christmas-inspired design. Try different designs at your own pace and create as many cards as you would like to complete during the class.All materials are provided. Just come ready to paint, create, and get into the Christmas spirit!
Holiday Mixology | Breakthru

Get into the holiday spirit with a festive, hands-on mixology workshop featuring two delicious seasonal cocktails!
We’ll kick things off with a Holiday Ketel One Mule, followed by a cozy Boozy Hot Chocolate made with Baileys, with Crown Royal Reserve 12 available as a dairy-free option.
Learn how to make each cocktail, enjoy your drinks as you go, and pick up some fun tips and tricks to bring your new mixology skills home for the holidays.

Learn how to make each cocktail, enjoy your drinks as you go, and pick up some fun tips and tricks to bring your new mixology skills home for the holidays.
Holiday Garland Making
Saturday & Sunday | $75/adult | $25 to add-on a child
Floral Design for a hands-on holiday workshop and create your own approximately 3–4 foot fresh holiday garland, using a beautiful selection of seasonal greenery and festive accents.Learn simple techniques for extending the life of your garland and how to refresh it with additional fresh flowers and greenery throughout the season—helping you enjoy your creation longer while embracing more sustainable floral practices.
Choose your experience:
Adult Workshop or Family Experience where children get to participate by making special decorative creations that can be stand alone or incorporated in the family’s garland. Children are considered ages 4-12 for this workshop. One registered adult is required for every 1-2 children.
Charcuterie Workshop
Saturday & Sunday | $95/adult
Learn how to create a beautiful, Instagram-worthy charcuterie board with Leanne from Always On Board! You’ll learn ingredient selection, pairing tips, salami folding, styling techniques and more while creating your own board. Includes: Fine cheeses, charcuterie and accompaniments, step-by-step guidance, pairing suggestions, a photo opportunity and one complimentary Lost Craft beverage.
MACRAME CHRISTMAS TREE ORNAMENT Workshop
Saturday & Sunday | $35/person
Create your own charming macramé Christmas tree ornament! Choose your colour and learn the knots to craft a festive keepsake with The Paint Bar. All materials and instruction are included.
Festive Planter Arrangement
Saturday | $65/person
Create your own festive holiday arrangement using a beautiful mix of winter greenery, berries, pinecones, sparkling ornaments, and a luxurious red bow. Perfect for adding a cheerful touch to your holiday décor or creating a stunning seasonal centerpiece. Hosted by Bradford Greenhouses. All materials and instruction are included.

This holiday season, we’re proud to partner with Gift-a-Family, a local initiative helping children and families in Simcoe County experience the magic of Christmas.
A $500 gift can provide one child with a full Christmas experience, from their personalized wishlist to the special moments that make Christmas feel magical. Donations of any amount can help bring that experience to life.
From our Holiday Hustle Fun run to onsite donations and raffle draws there will be lots of ways to support this cause and help make the season a little brighter for a local child.
