Headliner JEFF McENERY
Jeff McEnery won the prestigious “Tim Sims Encouragement Award” in 2005, “Yuk Yuk’s Great Canadian Laugh Off” in 2006 and was named “Best Stand-Up Newcomer” at the 2007 Canadian Comedy Awards. Since then, Jeff has become a headliner for Yuk Yuk’s and has made multiple appearances at every major Canadian comedy festival including the Just For Laughs, Winnipeg, and Halifax. Jeff’s Comedy Now! stand-up special was broadcast on CTV in 2011. In 2015, he was nominated for ‘Best Male Stand-Up’ at the Canadian Comedy Awards.
Jeff had a lead acting role in the critically acclaimed drama “Dog Pound”. He was also a cast member on the Comedy Network’s sketch series “Hotbox” and has made guest appearances on “Letterkenny”, “Covert Affairs”, “The Jon Dore Television Show” and “Naturally Sadie”. Jeff is currently a writer for the CBC’s hit show “Still Standing”.
Featuring 2024 Juno Nominee Laurie Elliott
Laurie Elliott is a stand-up comic, Juno nominee, actor and television writer. She won the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award and is a four-time winner of Best Female Stand-Up at The Canadian Comedy Awards.
Her stand-up credits include Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival (where the late, great Joan Rivers chose her to perform on her final Gala show), the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Comedy Factory in Rotterdam, Raw Comedy Club in Stockholm, the SheDot Comedy Festival in Toronto, and a gala run at the Cape Town International Comedy Festival in South Africa.
She has had recurring roles/appearances on MuchMusic’s Video on Trial, CBC’s The Red Green Show (she married Harold!), The Jon Dore Television Show, Match Game and The Debaters. Laurie’s voice can be heard on many animated series such as Total Drama Island, Scaredy Squirrel, and Camp Lakebottom. Laurie was also a regular on WWF star Chris Jericho’s award-winning web series, But I’m Chris Jericho.
Writing credits include five seasons of the Total Drama Series, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Rocket Monkeys, Camp Lakebottom, Fugget About It, Showcase’s Almost Heroes, Disney’s My Babysitter’s a Vampire, Hulu’s original series Mother Up starring Eva Longoria. Laurie is currently co-show running a series for YTV called, The Three Amigonauts.
MC Bryan Hatt
Nearly two decades in the business have transformed Bryan into one of the best acts in the country. Bryan has filmed a Comedy Now for the Comedy Network, appeared on the Halifax & Winnipeg Comedy Festivals, was a finalist in the Great Canadian Laugh Off and has opened for legends like Gilbert Godfried, Harland Williams, Big Jay Oakerson and more! He’ll make you laugh and feel thinner all at once!
