Horseshoe Valley Resort went above and beyond my team’s expectation for our team building meeting. From the planning of the event to the execution, everything went off without a hitch. Johanna Deboer, our coordinator was absolutely phenomenal. Always catering to all of our groups requests with a smile while accommodating us wherever possible. The staff at the resort was amazing. They were extremely friendly and able to answer all of our questions. The rooms were spotless, food was exceptional and there was also a range of activities to do close by.

We recently brought 2 groups of 30 people to Horseshoe Valley Resort for duplicate back to back conferences.  We were lucky enough to have Amber Currie as the coordinator and from start to finish, it was a great experience.  After countless emails back and forth,  the planning, implementation and closing of both sessions were seamless.  The location was perfect, the rooms were clean & spacious, the food was praised by many and the meeting space was exactly what we required.   We found all the staff extremely helpful during our stay and we will surely return for future conferences.

We had a blast on Friday!  Mark was absolutely amazing to work with….so energetic and really got our group excited to be there!! Most of the staff were sore on the weekend but all equally agreed this was the best staff event we’ve participated in!

Our conference was a huge success and that was largely to do with you and everyone at the resort. I’ve heard so many wonderful things from my coworkers about how great they thought the resort and service was, as well as how much they enjoyed their time spent at Horseshoe Resort!

I especially appreciate all of your assistance in planning the event and ensuring it went off without any issues. Between yourself, Maureen, Luke, Mark, Danielle and everyone else who worked with us during the conference  I have not experienced better service! All of you were so ready and willing to help and always with a smile on your face and I think that was what made the experience that much more enjoyable and successful!!

We have just returned home from the wonderful week-end that we spent at your Horseshoe Resort.  I want to thank you all from our entire group for the great week-end that you were so helpful in arranging for us.  Every single person/employee that we had any dealings with during the week-end were more than accommodating and personable, right from the golf cart lads to the reception desk, the chef and everyone in-between.
All of you that worked with me on the arrangements (for the past year) were so helpful and informative about how to arrange the week-end.  Everyone in our group was very pleased with the accommodations, the meals and the golf course.

As you know, Young Presidents Assistants recently held their Annual Conference at Horseshoe Resort in April 2013.  On behalf of our organization, I wanted to take a moment to thank you.  All too often people are quick to register complaints and less apt to give praise.  In this case, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to give credit where credit is due.

First of all, let me say that our entire Conference, from beginning to end, was a total success.  That was thanks, in no small part, to the staff at Horseshoe.  Starting with our site visit, Tracey Telford was especially helpful in planning out our Team Building activities and educating us on what she could offer in that program.  I truly feel that activity is what made this year’s Conference memorable and gave it that extra “something”. Despite the fact that we completed the maze in a full-on snow blizzard (in April), the participants all felt like the team building activities really gave them an opportunity to grow closer to each other in a thoroughly fun way!  If Tracey had not been so enthusiastic and vocal about what she could offer in this respect, we may have missed out on the best part of our weekend!

From your Front Desk staff, to Housekeeping (particularly Dusteen Gilchrist), to maintenance staff and all the way up to you and Kym Gilmour in the management office, the Resort demonstrated its policy of “never saying no” and every single employee delivered on it – with a smile!  I couldn’t be happier with the way our group was catered to.  Every member of the staff that we dealt with did whatever they could to facilitate whatever we needed and no request was ever denied, regardless of how “last minute” or obscure.

Obviously the meals, the spa, accommodations, meeting spaces, and the resort’s facilities were all up to (and above) par – that is what one comes to expect from a place that specializes in conferences. The difference to me was the human element – the staff and the management of the resort went above and beyond.  I look bringing the YPA back to Horseshoe again soon and will not hesitate to recommend the site to anyone who asks about a great spot to hold a conference!

I wanted to let you know that the meeting went well. My group enjoyed themselves extremely, loved the rooms, the food and everything else.
The staff at Horseshoe are wonderful. Everyone from the front desk to the staff at the meals to the ladies at Crazy Horse were all friendly, helpful and very nice to deal with. The golf, the spa & the Tree Top Trekking were all enjoyed. I want to especially thank Luke for looking after our group – he was always there when I needed him and whenever I asked for something he was right on it. There was a woman who looked after some of our meals and breaks – older, blonde/gray hair – she was a delight.

Please thank your staff for making us feel welcome and looking after our needs. Thank you. You and your group made me look like a shining star.
